The Dallas Museum of Art is one of those museums where families immediately feel at home. From the gentle incline (no stairs on the main floor, just an undulating corridor with art beckoning on all sides) to the spacious and packed-with-interesting-mementos gift shop, the museum seems to have families specifically in mind.

Pump It Up

Kids can jump, bounce, climb, and slide at Pump It Up, the award-winning “inflatable party zone”. The climate-controlled arenas are filled with huge inflatable structures and provide a great space for birthday parties (which include private arena use, rather than just admission during public hours). Doors open at other times for Pop-In Playtimes and a variety of scheduled programs. Typically, parents are required to remain on-site while kids play.

Medieval Times

A medieval adventure for all ages, Medieval Times is a fun-loving dinner experience you won’t soon forget! It’s perfectly appropriate for all ages and just the place if you are looking for a unique family outing. Children ages two and under can dine for free if they sit in a parent’s lap. You won’t find highchairs, but booster seats abound. While dining ringside, the audience is encouraged to cheer for the knights jousting in the arena.
