City Tavern

After a morning spent visiting Independence Hall, have lunch at this colonial tavern which is a rebuilt version of the original 18th century eatery. Founding fathers were regulars at the original tavern, the spot where the Continental Congress hammered out the details of the Constitution and Paul Revere stopped for a bite with the news that the British had closed Boston’s Harbor. Costumed servers present an award-winning kid’s menu, including turkey pot pie, cornmeal crusted chicken tenders, grilled chicken breast (served with buttered noodles), prime rib with fries, and fish and chips.
