Tom Bass Regional Park

Tom Bass Regional Park is so big that it has three vast sections, with just about every type of park amenity imaginable. Section I has an amphitheater, playing fields including five cricket fields, room for kite-flying, two 18-hole “frisbee golf” courses, picnic areas, playgrounds, tennis courts, a pond stocked with bass and catfish, restrooms, and fully equipped pavilions with barbecue pits, hot and cold running water, electrical outlets, and stainless steel countertops.

El Franco Lee Park

Newly re-designed El Franco Lee Park has at least a half-dozen different playgrounds, many of them shaded by canopies, all of them interconnected by paved pathways which are easy on the strollers. Oversized bench-swings at each playground provide a comfortable resting spot for parents keeping an eye on the kids.

Bay Area Park

Set back in the woods on the shores of Armand Bayou, Bay Area Park sits in a beautiful setting. A few different playground structures provide a nice variety of activities, and several dozen picnic tables and barbecue pits, under the shade of towering oak trees, make the park a good place for free birthday parties or family gatherings.
