The Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House

Built in 1899, the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House is open for individual and group tours. Tours begin on the hour. Tickets are for dual tours of both the McFarland House and the nearby Thistle Hill house.

Log Cabin Village

Visitors can take a trip back in time to the mid-1800s at the Log Cabin Village, a living museum dedicated to the preservation of the history of Texas. The exhibits include a water-powered gristmill, a one-room schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, an herb garden, and several log home settings. Costumed interpreters demonstrate crafts and relate the history of the cabins and the Texas frontier to visitors.

Veterans Memorial Air Park

Located at the south end of Meacham Airport, Veterans Memorial Air Park displays 17 aircraft and is also home to the B-36 Peacemaker Museum and the Forward Air Controller’s Museum. Indoor displays include a Fort Worth Air and Space Museum Foundation presentation on North Texas aviation history.

Department of the Treasury

The free, 45-minute, guided tour includes displays and exhibits showing the history of US paper currency and the technology of the production process. Also included is a quarter-mile long elevated walkway tour overlooking the currency production floor, the Moneyfactory Gift Shop, and three live demonstration exhibits.

American Airlines CR Smith Museum

The American Airlines CR Smith Museum is dedicated solely to commercial aviation and features hands-on activities – including a flight simulator – as well as a large-screen movie theater and gift shop. The centerpiece of the museum is a completely restored 1940s-era DC-3 plane, the Flagship Knoxville, which sits in a retro glass hangar.
